After the Formula 1 sprint race for the Austrian Grand Prix, the duel between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is the talk of the day. The Red Bull Racing drivers fought for the lead on the first lap, not giving each other a millimetre of space.
Internet reacts to Verstappen and Perez duel
On social media, reactions to the duel between the teammates in the first few corners of the Red Bull Ring are rife. Some viewers believe that both Verstappen and Perez deserved a penalty for the push and pull, but the FIA stewards thought otherwise.
Opinions are divided about the sprint race in general: where some speak of an exciting race, others call it a 'snoozefest'. Moreover, some comment that the gap that Verstappen managed to build up in half an hour was very big indeed.

Pushing you narrative again, please pay attention, Max had issues when Checo pushed him onto WET grass, as every driver would have issues with. You don't EVER push a driver onto wet grass in full acceleration.

& the only Dirty/Foul play was the 1 including @Max33Verstappen & Sergio Perez. & of course @F1 did not investigate the pushing of track on start & in turn 3 in lap 1.

It’s almost like Verstappen didn’t pass his teammate three turns into the #F1Sprint and then streak into the distance and win by 21 seconds after 24 laps. #F1 #AustrianGP pic.twitter.com/k7q1omDcLr

Another yawn fest. Please can we scrap these sprint races. What exactly is the point of them?

We need to start talking about how hulkenberg could be a better 2nd driver in Redbull than Sergio Perez

They need to put a more aggressive driver in sergio Perez' seat. He yielded twice against max today just because. There are plenty of better drivers that would upset max in equal machinery
