Max Verstappen is enjoying a dominant 2023 season. The Dutchman is now on seven wins in the nine races so far. In fact, Verstappen is so dominant that the two-time world champion also leads the constructors' championship, if Red Bull Racing had only the Dutchman as a driver.

Verstappen shows dominance in 2023

Only two of the nine races Verstappen failed to win in 2023, but even here the two-time world champion had fine results, twice finishing second behind teammate Sergio Perez. In addition, Verstappen set the fastest lap of the race four times and the Red Bull driver finished third once and first once in the sprint races. This now puts Verstappen on 229 points, which is enough to also lead the constructors' championship.

Currently, Mercedes is second in the constructors' championship with 178 points. It is followed by Aston Martin with three points less, i.e. 175 points. Ferrari is also close to second place in the championship, with 154 points. However, this is all less than Verstappen's 229 points, so he would also lead comfortably in this championship, just like in the drivers' championship.
