FIA won't stop Red Bull: 'It’s Verstappen's time'
Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the president of the FIA, sees no point in taking measures in an attempt to stop Red Bull, he told The Associated Press.
Red Bull currently reigns supreme in Formula 1. The Austrians have won every race so far this season. Seven times Max Verstappen drew the winner and twice it was his teammate Sergio Perez. Some Formula 1 fans resent the fact that one team stands head and shoulders above the rest. They secretly long for the exciting title fight in 2021 between Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. After all, the title fight this year already seems decided.
Verstappen's time
Ben Sulayem does not feel the need to interfere. "If we go about what’s good and bad we’ll open the door. I mean, was it good for Mercedes? Fair enough?" According to the president, a new era has begun. "It is (Verstappen’s) time, it’s Red Bull’s time." It is very simple for Ben Sulayem:"What do we do and punish the good kid? No, let’s go and make the other teams good. We cannot punish people for being better, for trying harder."
