Verstappen very satisfied after Friday at Silverstone: "Pretty positive"
Max Verstappen ended Friday at Silverstone as the fastest man. The two-time world champion led the timesheet in both FP1 and FP2 and thus starts Britain's Grand Prix weekend with a good feeling.
"I think it was a good day for us," opened Verstappen after the second free practice session. "I think it was quite slippery in the beginning, but also I think that is due to the high pressures we are running on the tyres. It was the same for everyone, but that makes it a bit more difficult in the low speed."

Despite the lack of grip, the Dutchman can be satisfied with the first day at Silverstone. "I think overall the car has been performing really well. So, I was really happy with that. Overall the performance has been strong in both sessions and we could complete our programmes, long runs were good as well. So, pretty positive."
Asked about possible challenges in the rest of the weekend, Verstappen points to the weather forecast. Indeed, on Saturday there is a chance of rain during qualifying. "Tomorrow, of course, also with the weather and from our side we want to improve the car a little bit but overall, yeah, it has been a strong day."
