Pirelli expects two-stopper in Britain
- GPblog.com
Ahead of Sunday's race, Pirelli has shared what they expect as strategies during the race in Britain. The tyre manufacturer states that a two-stopper will be fastest, followed by a one-stopper.
Two-stopper fastest at Silverstone
According to Pirelli, a two-stopper where starting on soft tyres is fastest at Silverstone. Later, a change to medium tyres should then be made, before going back to softs. After that, the fastest strategy is a one-stopper, starting on the mediums and then changing to the hard tyres.
Leclerc chooses other tyres
All drivers still have one set of hard tyres and one set of medium tyres for the race. Except Charles Leclerc, who still has two new sets of medium tyres. Could this be an advantage for the Monegasque? Furthermore, Sergio Perez still has a remarkable amount of new soft tyres at his disposal, this is obviously because the Mexican was already eliminated in Q1 in qualifying.
