Constructors' World Championship standings | Red Bull grow lead
- GPblog.com
Red Bull Racing are streets ahead of the number two in the Constructors' World Championship after the British Grand Prix. Thanks to Max Verstappen's 26 points gained during the race, the Austrian racing team now have a gap of more than 200 (!) points.
Williams and McLaren can be happy
It was also a good weekend for Williams and McLaren. McLaren could add no fewer than 30 points after the Silverstone race in the battle for the constructors' championship. Williams, who were ninth prior to the weekend, now share seventh place with Haas. This is due to the points gained by Alexander Albon.
Where there are winners, there are often losers too. So too in the World Constructors' Championship. Alpine's race went anything but optimal. Both Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly were already in the pit box by the time the chequered flag dropped. This allowed Alpine to add zero points and saw McLaren take over fifth place.
