Max Verstappen disqualified after revenge during sim race
- Toby McLuskie
Max Verstappen failed to finish a sim race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. This time not because of problems with the game, but because the Dutchman was disqualified. This was because the two-time Formula 1 world champion deliberately rammed a competitor off the track. This prompted the race organisers to remove Verstappen from the game for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Verstappen was spun around in the race by a Team Redline teammate, who in turn was hit from behind by Sven Haase. Verstappen was apparently under the impression that Haase had deliberately caused the collision and set off in pursuit.

In the process, the Formula 1 championship leader cut several corners, eventually driving hard into the back of Haase's car. The latter then spun into the tyre pile at Spa. So the race organisers were not amused by Verstappen's behaviour and disqualified the Dutchman.
A video of the incident is circulating on Twitter:
Max was in a sim racing competition today ( we had no clue about this but anyways) he got disqualified because shunted his opponent on purpose as a retaliation of the person hitting on him. Here’s the video:
