Verstappen continues tradition and takes his side of garage out to dinner
- Toby McLuskie
Max Verstappen is the man bringing in World Championship points for Red Bull Racing, but that is only possible because the men at his side of the garage are doing an excellent job. Verstappen is well aware of this and expresses his gratitude for it by taking the mechanics and engineers tinkering with his RB19 out to dinner in Hungary.
This is what De Telegraaf writes before the start of this weekend's first free practice sessions. Last year, Verstappen also took the 30 or so employees out to dinner, which was a great success. The two-time world champion is therefore keen to continue that tradition and so he will again rent a place somewhere in the capital Budapest for a sumptuous dinner.
Red Bull is good for Verstappen, but Verstappen is also good for Red Bull and its staff. It is therefore not surprising that everyone within the Austrian racing stable is running away with the 25-year-old Dutchman, and that is really not just because he managed to win eight out of 10 races this year. The demanding Verstappen knows how hard his team works to give him the perfect car, and in this way he gives something back to the Red Bull workforce.
