This is the only thing Verstappen appears to have trouble with
Changed shoes again, but with the same result. Max Verstappen seems to be having more trouble choosing his racing footwear this season than the races themselves, according to De Telegraaf.
Verstappen normally always wore racing shoes from the Puma brand, but after the contracts between Verstappen and Puma ended, the Dutchman had to look for new shoes.
Italian shoes for the team
So he ended up with Italian company Sparco, which not only makes the shoes for Verstappen and Sergio Perez, but also the racing overalls. Although he likes the overalls, Verstappen has been complaining a lot about his shoes. Therefore, since the Spanish Grand Prix, he wore his old gold Puma shoes (without the logo because of the contracts). Indeed, last race weekend he put on the third delivery of shoes.
Since the Sparco's were disappointing and Verstappen cannot stay in his old shoes forever, he tested the shoes of Italian brand Alpinestars in Hungary. The two-time world champion said he already found these more comfortable, but not yet ideal. After taking his seventh consecutive victory, Verstappen unexpectedly wore his gold Pumas again during the press conference. This was because the pair of Alpinestars shoes had to be 'scanned' again and returned to the factory.
