Sainz eliminated at the hands of Piastri in Belgian GP: 'Pity'
Carlos Sainz had to retire early in the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. On the first lap of the race, the Spanish Ferrari driver sustained damage in an on-track fight with Oscar Piastri. He told GPblog how this crash came about.

"I was on the attack with Lewis [Hamilton], and I think I pretty much had the move done into Turn 1, made the apex cleanly and everything, but unfortunately, I think Oscar [Piastri] was trying to do a bit of an optimistic move on me. A bit of a shame," Sainz said after the race he couldn't finish.
"When you review the past races and here in Spa, the typical Turn 1 incident is exactly that, everyone who tries the inside line into turn 1 normally generates an incident or a crash and this time it was my turn to receive it," said the eliminated Spaniard.
It was not a bad weekend for the entire Italian Scuderia, as Charles Leclerc made it to the podium.
