The summer break is also over for McLaren team boss Andrea Stella. This weekend, the Dutch Grand Prix is scheduled at Zandvoort. The last races before the summer break were very good for McLaren. Drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri ended up on the podium with regularity. Stella looks ahead to racing in the Dutch dunes.
"Summer break is over and it's time to go racing again. It's been good for the Team to take some time off and reset ahead of the final 10 races of the season, after the efforts in the first half of the season. The last four races saw us achieving strong results, but also highlighted some areas where we need to improve," he told his team's site.
What does Stella think of Zandvoort?
"Zandvoort is one of the shorter tracks of the year but dense of interesting corners. The circuit features a unique, undulating nature through the sand dunes and is a challenging course," the Italian team boss continued. The Zandvoort Grand Prix was not held for 36 years, but Formula 1 returned to the Netherlands in 2021.
The season started rather poorly for McLaren, but by now the team is making good progress. With a better car, drivers Norris and Piastri seem to have found their feet. Read here what the drivers think of next weekend.
