The Formula 2 sprint race ended without any points being handed out. The race started in rainy conditions and a heavy crash occurred at the start, resulting in a red flag. After the red flag, drivers briefly entered the track, the race was soon not resumed due to limited visibility and the start of Formula 1 qualifying.

Bad luck and good fortune for Pourchaire

The start of the Formula 2 sprint race was postponed and that suited championship leader Theo Pourchaire well. The Frenchman, who was supposed to start from pole, had a drive shaft problem and ended up having to start from the pit lane. As a result, Isak Hadjar started the race first. In the end, due to the lack of laps driven, no points were handed out, which was in Pourchaire's favour.

F2 race not completed

The start of the F2 race was soon halted after a heavy crash. Kush Maini lost control of his car and eventually finished on top of teammate Ralph Boschung. Jak Crawford also crashed out due to the incident. When the red flag was raised, the drivers went back out, but soon the red flag was waved again. The conditions were too bad to continue racing. No points were handed out for the race as no more than two laps were completed under the green flag.
