Verstappen supreme in wet home race: "Incredibly proud"
Max Verstappen dominated a rain-drenched Formula 1 race at Zandvoort. With his ninth Grand Prix victory in a row, he equalled Sebastian Vettel's record, which is surely a special one, even for the reigning world champion.

"Incredible," said Verstappen after the race. "The weather did not make it easy for us to make the right decisions, but I am incredibly proud. I already had goosebumps when they were playing the national anthem before the start."
The frenzied fans, who kept the atmosphere going even during the red flag in the pouring rain, also impressed the Dutchman. "Even with all the bad weather, the rain, the fans are still going at it. So an incredible atmosphere," said Verstappen.
With his ninth win in a row, he equalled Vettel's F1 record for most wins in a row. Will he go for his tenth one week later in Monza? "I'll think about that next week. I'm going to enjoy this weekend. It's always tough. The pressure is on to perform and I'm very happy to win here," he added.
