Does Horner consider Verstappen one of the best in F1? 'Very remarkable'
It seems to be only a matter of time before Max Verstappen goes on to win his third Formula 1 world title in a row. Of the 13 races held, the Dutchman managed to win no fewer than 11. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner also has nothing but good words to say for the reigning and two-time world champion.
"What Max Verstappen is achieving is quite phenomenal," says the British team boss. "He is an exceptional talent. What he's managed to do in the last few years has been quite remarkable. With the amount of victories he has, the records that he's been breaking, if he wins, hopefully, and defends his driver's title this year, then he joins some very illustrious names in the sport," Horner concludes.
Horner on Verstappen
Verstappen is raking in the wins and poles relatively easily this season, but can the Red Bull driver also be seen as one of the best of all time? Horner says it is hard to say.
"It's always very difficult to judge against those, and we're fortunate that one of the most successful drivers of all time is still competing," Horner says. "It's always difficult to compare generations, but you have to start to include him in the bracket of some of the greatest that the sport has seen," he continues.
