Massa 'got call' from F1 about attending GPs: 'Plane ticket booked'
Felipe Massa is still angry about the 2008 Formula One World Championship. The Brazilian driver from Sao Paulo was due to travel to the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, but received a phone call from someone at Formula One. Massa is still demanding hefty damages and explanations from the FIA and FOM.
"Massa had already bought a flight ticket and received a call from the high ranking of Formula 1 on Monday, asking him not to go to Monza," Massa's spokesman told Motorsport.com.
Massa and the FIA and FOM
Earlier this week, Massa's legal team alerted the FIA and FOM by naming a lawsuit in the British High Court. The legal team has set a deadline, which the FIA and FOM will have to meet, otherwise the lawsuit will indeed follow.
During the weekend in Monza, a banner was already on display stating that Massa was actually the real 2008 world champion. This was ordered to be removed by Formula 1 under the guise of 'obstruction of vision'.
