Debate | Ferrari can fight Mercedes for P2 in Constructors’ Championship
Ferrari's home race turned out to be good for the Tifosi. With Carlos Sainz finishing third on behalf of the Italian Scuderia, Ferrari finally secured another podium finish. Charles Leclerc was on the podium in Belgium, but he finished fourth in Italy. GPblog is curious to hear the opinion of its readers on the following statement.
Can Ferrari attack Mercedes?
The verdict is as follows: Ferrari can challenge Mercedes for second place in the constructors' championship. During this weekend at Monza, the two Ferraris were much faster than the team of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, but this does not line up (so far) with the rest of the season.
A look at the standings in the battle for the constructors' title reveals that Mercedes has already scored 273 points this season, while Ferrari have 228. Whether the SF-23 has structurally improved, or just happened to improve once because it was Monza, will have to be seen in coming weekends. Can Ferrari open the hunt for Mercedes? The gap is currently 45 points. Vote in the poll below and let your opinion be known in the comments!
