Marko jokes after record: 'No need for tactics and strategy, we have Max!'

The Italian Grand Prix was another win for Max Verstappen. The Dutchman thus recorded his tenth consecutive win, setting a record. Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko was hugely appreciative after his driver's umpteenth win.
Verstappen sets record at Monza
Lately, Formula 1 has been about little else but Verstappen's winning streak. The Dutchman has won every race since the Grand Prix in Miami (in early May!). After Monza, the tally stands at ten wins in a row and that is a record. Previously, the unique record stood in the name of Sebastian Vettel. The German won all races after the summer break in 2013, winning nine races in a row.
Marko jokes after yet another Verstappen victory
Since the start of the new regulations in 2022, Verstappen has won 27 out of 36 races. Marko was ecstatic after the record-breaking victory in Italy: "Everyone is talking about strategies and tactics, we don't need all of that. We have Max!" the advisor joked to Blick.ch.
