Twelve of the 14 races in the '23 Formula 1 season have been won by Max Verstappen. For now, the weekend in Singapore is running a little more sluggishly, given the disappointing results in the first two free practice sessions. The Singapore Grand Prix, is one of the physically toughest races the Formula 1 calendar has to offer.

Verstappen talked about the conditions in which he is racing. "So far [the conditions] have been good, but when you're in the car, of course it all gets a bit trickier. That's just part of it. You just have to be comfortable with a lot of sweating," the reigning and two-time world champion explained to Viaplay.

Verstappen and Singapore conditions

"In Monaco, of course, I trained outside at the most uncomfortable times," Verstappen reveals. "Without air conditioning, for example. I train a lot at home, but then I always do that on the balcony. That's a bit warmer than in the gym anyway. You still try to get good results out of that," he concludes.

The Red Bull driver was very dissatisfied with the results of the second free practice in particular. See what Verstappen had to say about the first two practice sessions in Singapore here.
