Max Verstappen has to report to the stewards. The Dutchman had a troublesome session and not just because of the result. He has to answer for three offences that took place in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.

The first offence is committed by Verstappen during Q1, when the Red Bull driver stays in the pit lane for a long time, holding up all the drivers behind him. This contravenes Article 37.5 of the F1 Sporting Regulations and so Verstappen must report to the stewards at 23:00 local time (17:00 CET/16:00 BST).

Why does Verstappen have to go to the stewards?

However, there are two more times for which Verstappen has to report to the stewards. One is that the two-time world champion is also said to have obstructed Logan Sargeant in his fast run in Q1 between turns 17 and 18. The third report for which Verstappen has to come to the stewards is the obstruction of Yuki Tsunoda.

Verstappen reports to the stewards between 17:00 and 17:15 European time. After that, a decision on a possible penalty will be made soon. A grid penalty thus hangs over the head of Verstappen, who only managed to qualify in 11th place at all at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
