A surprising qualifying result in Singapore. None of the Red Bull made it to Q3, and a pole for Ferrari's Carlos Sainz. His teammate Charles Leclerc almost made it a front-row lockout for the Scuderia, but in the end, George Russell reached P2.

At the end of Q1, the track was getting faster and faster, so pretty much everyone improved their time. Stroll's crash didn't allow everyone to finish their lap. Oscar Piastri was unlucky. He was on his way to Q2 but had to go into the pits early. Both Alfa Romeo drivers also failed to get out of Q3.

After a forced half-hour break - in which Stroll's car was salvaged and repair work was done on the circuit, Q2 started. The biggest surprise? The elimination of Max Verstappen. Sergio Perez was out, while Lawson, Magnussen and Hulkenberg continued.

In Q3, it was the Ferraris and Mercedes-powered teams that floated up. The surprises of the day are the two Haas drivers and Liam Lawson.
