How to watch the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix
18 September 2023 at 08:48

The 2023 Japanese Grand Prix will be the 16th race in the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship and will be broadcast on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom. The session times are entirely different to the European race times. This is how you can watch the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix, including replays.

A big change in Formula 1 session times

The Japanese Grand Prix is the second event after the European season. In the United Kingdom, Sky Sports will broadcast every single moment of the weekend. This is the only way of watching the Formula 1 weekend in the United Kingdom and a few select countries around the world where they have exclusive rights.

Sky Sports' coverage for Friday's first free practice session starts at 3:00am [BST]. There is a 30-minute build-up before the green light. FP2 is then on the schedule, with the show starting at 6:45am [BST]. Sky Sports will stay live after the chequered flag to bring all of the reactions and other news/gossip during their magazine show: The F1 Show. This starts at 8:45am [BST] and runs for 60 minutes. FP1 is then replayed at 10am, and FP2's replay starts at 11:15am. For those who work during the day, Sky Sports will show another full replay of FP1 and FP2 starting at 6pm.

Sky Sports will go live again on Saturday for FP3. This programme starts at 3:15am [BST]. The next show will feature qualifying, starting at 6:00am [BST]. Qualifying highlights follow the conclusion of Ted's Notebook at 9:30am. It is then broadcast again as a replay at the usual time of 2pm.

The team returns on Sunday for the Singapore Grand Prix. Coverage begins at 4:30am [BST], with lights out at 6am [BST]. Ted's notebook returns this coming weekend. Once again, the race is replayed at 9:30am and again at 2:25pm, so you can watch it at the usual time if you avoid spoilers!

Other options elsewhere
