In Singapore, Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing's victory streak came to an end, yet the team is again heading towards the next Grand Prix weekend with full confidence. Next weekend, the race at Suzuka is scheduled. Verstappen reveals his expectations and his experiences.

"I’m looking forward to racing in Suzuka, it’s always super fun to drive as it has a lot of high-speed corners. I also have very fond memories from the track there, from winning my second Drivers’ Championship," Verstappen said. " scoring a great Team result finishing 1-2 and even looking back to 2014 when I drove during FP1 for the first time," the Dutchman continued.

Verstappen in Tokyo for GP Japan

"I’m spending a few days in Tokyo ahead of the weekend which should be fun and also help with the jet lag," Verstappen reveals. " We need to get everything right this weekend and of course, the target is to win," concludes the reigning world champion, who may be able to prolong his title in Qatar.

In Japan, Red Bull Racing can already become the constructors' champion, but it would have to manage to get at least one point more than Mercedes. Not impossible, but they will have to do so. Verstappen himself cannot yet clinch the world championship in Japan, but in Qatar [Grand Prix afterwards] it might be possible.
