Max Verstappen made his constructors champion in Formula 1 at the Japanese Grand Prix last weekend. He himself can take the world title in less than two weeks' time, but he will have to score enough points over the weekend in Qatar. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner talks about the Dutchman's qualities.
Horner on Verstappen
"He has the hunger, determination and qualities, but also knows how to channel it all," the British team boss told Motorsport.com. "He doesn't get distracted by peripheral issues that come with driving in Formula 1. He is just a real racer. And when he is not racing on the real track, he is driving on a virtual track. Because this is his passion, this is what he loves most."
The team boss of the successful constructor recently said it was easy to work with Verstappen and other colleagues. Horner and Red Bull team manager Jonathan Wheatley explained how it was when a team got wins so easily. Among other things, Horner said that "everything had to be in harmony".
