Mahindra Racing and Di Grassi part ways: 'Visions have diverged'
Formula E driver Lucas di Grassi and constructor Mahindra Racing are parting ways. Along with Roberto Mehri, di Grassi raced for Mahindra in the 2022-2023 Formula E season. The Brazilian driver, who raced in Formula 1 for one season in 2010, scored 32 points in the season, which was good for 15th place in the championship.
"I want to express my gratitude to all our team members for the experiences we shared during what proved to be a challenging year. This decision ultimately benefits us both, as our perspectives and visions have diverged. I wish Mahindra Racing the brightest future ahead," Di Grassi said in a message on X, formerly Twitter.
Mahindra thanks Di Grassi
Mahindra Racing would like to thank Di Grassi: "On behalf of everybody at Mahindra Racing, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Lucas for his contribution to the team over the past year," Mahindra CEO Fred Bertrand reported at Mahindra. "He will always remain part of the Mahindra Racing family, and leaves with nothing but our best wishes for his future endeavours," Bertrand continued.
Oliver Rowland previously raced for Mahindra Racing, but in the mid-season, he was replaced by Mehri. The constructor finished the Formula E season ninth out of 10 teams.
