Hamilton not complaining about FIA measures: 'Are in the same boat'
Lewis Hamilton finished only 12th in the sprint shootout in Qatar. The Briton finished third during qualifying for the race on Friday but was unable to continue this line on Saturday. Hamilton told F1TV that the conditions during the Sprint shootout were different from qualifying.
"Yeah, it was a lot different to yesterday. Yesterday felt pretty decent. I don't know if it's with the wind or the temperature being a lot hotter, but the balance was completely off. Just completely different. And track limits, it was mostly at turn 13 with the change that they have made, but it's alright," the seven-time champion told reporters.
Hamilton not complaining about track limit changes
Many drivers were dissatisfied with the track limit changes announced for the sprint shootout. Hamilton says: "Well, we've never had anything like that before going into qualifying, but everyone's in the same boat. I just struggled quite a lot with the balance. I had a lot of understeer. Yeah, I can't really pinpoint why the car was the way it was."
