FIA in talks with Stroll after push and extremely short interview
- GPblog.com
Lance Stroll's behaviour in Qatar may be in a tailspin. The FIA informs that they are in talks with the Canadian over several incidents during the weekend.
Stroll showed his worst side in the Qatar Grand Prix weekend. After a qualifying session that went dramatically for the Aston Martin driver, he threw his steering wheel out of the car, brushed aside a team employee and gave a harrowing interview to F1TV. That behaviour is now getting a tailspin.
Why Stroll is being investigated.
Because the FIA said: 'the FIA Compliance Officer is in discussion with Lance Stroll in relation to several incidents that may have contravened FIA rules, policies and procedures during the Qatar Grand Prix.' What possible punishment Stroll would receive for this is still unknown.
Stroll himself was unaware of any wrongdoing afterwards. On Saturday, Stroll again spoke to the press at length and, according to him, was outspoken with his physio. 'It wasn't all that big' according to the Canadian. Within the F1 paddock, though, there are clear question marks about Stroll's future in the sport, and it is assumed that Stroll will make the switch to the WEC.
