Verstappen expects tough US GP: 'Could be pretty hectic for us'
Max Verstappen can beat his own record at the United States Grand Prix weekend by securing his 15th Formula One victory of the season. The pressure may be off after securing his third world title in Qatar, but the Red Bull Racing driver's goal remains unchanged: to win. With another sprint race and high temperatures, Verstappen predicts a hectic weekend.
Verstappen looks ahead to US GP
As a three-time world champion, Verstappen starts the weekend at the Circuit of the Americas, where Red Bull secured the constructors' title last year, with a good feeling. "I'm really looking forward to the race in Austin this weekend, as a Team we have a lot of special memories from there. The atmosphere at the track is also like no other, there are so many Oracle Red Bull Racing fans there to cheer us on," he commented.
However, the Dutchman is not expecting an easy weekend. "It is of course another Sprint race so it could be quite hectic for us, we only have one session to try and find the optimum balance in the car. The temperatures look to be high too so I'm expecting another tough race. I'm also excited to see the new special fan-designed livery on the car. It's going to be cool," concluded Verstappen.
