The F1 US Grand Prix looks set to remain completely dry. Nevertheless, wind and temperature may play a role during the race weekend in Austin. It will not be anywhere near as hot as Qatar, however. The drivers are returning from their recovery week and are now underway with their first weekend of a triple header.

On Saturday, the Sprint Shootout and Sprint race are scheduled. The sprint shootout will be run at 12:30pm local time (6:30 pm BST). It will be about 29 degrees at that time, according to Weather.com. Like Friday, the wind is very light with a southwest breeze of four kilometres per hour. The temperature will rise to around 32 degrees during the session.

That temperature can also be expected for the sprint race later in the day. At 17:00 local time, the sprint race will be run and it will be between 33 and 32 degrees. The wind force will then have increased by three kilometres per hour. The wind will also turn slightly to a southeast wind.

For the Grand Prix on Sunday, 22 October, it will be slightly less warm. When the race starts at 14:00 local time, it will be 29 degrees and the temperature will not rise beyond the 30-degree mark. The wind will pick up considerably, however. There will be a wind force of 13 to 14 kilometres per hour. The wind will again come from the southeast. The chance of rain is 0% for the whole weekend.
