Max Verstappen was briefly under pressure at the start and the first few laps of the sprint race at the Circuit of the Americas, but after nineteen laps, Red Bull Racing and Verstappen had built up a lead of more than nine seconds over Lewis Hamilton in P2. A dominant sprint victory by Verstappen, who saw Hamilton and Charles Leclerc finish behind him.
