Cars belonging to Hamilton and Leclerc fail FIA inspection after US GP
Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc may be awaiting another penalty. The FIA has brought out a document showing that the skids located in the area did not pass the test. They are not in compliance with Article 3.5.9. This will now go to the stewards.
Update | Hamilton and Leclerc disqualified
Hamilton celebrated after the United States Grand Prix because of his second place, but the Brit could easily lose that. An FIA document reveals that the plank of Hamilton's car does not comply with Article 3.5.9 e) of the technical regulations.
The rule referred to here is the rule that states that the plank under the carriage must have a minimum thickness of 9mm due to wear. Both Leclerc and Hamilton failed that test. It is now up to the stewards to find a punishment for this.
