Mexican Grand Prix weather forecast

Mexican Grand Prix weather forecast | Potential for rain

23 October 2023 at 08:27

There is a chance that rain might fall during the Mexican Grand Prix weekend, but that chance is slim. Formula 1 teams and drivers will experience cooler temperatures than both Qatar and the United States weekend.

Perez in Mexico

There is always a party in Mexico, with plenty of support for home favourite Sergio Perez. The Red Bull hasn't yet won in Mexico but did visit the podium in 2021 and 2022. There is no chance that the party during the weekend will be quiet, but there is a little chance of rain.

On Thursday, drivers and teams will take part in the media day. There are thunderstorms in the area, and we've seen in previous weekends these have been pushed back a day. It's a traditional weekend of F1, so two practice sessions will take place on Friday. There is a 24% chance of rain during the day, with winds between 10mph and 15mph in a northeast direction. The temperature will reach 24c.

The temperature remains consistent for the rest of the weekend, and so does the wind speed. The direction moves more to the east as the weekend progresses. The chance of rain during Saturday reduces to 12%, but it rises back to 23% for the Grand Prix on Sunday.
