Hamilton over the moon with P2 finish: 'I did some sweet finesse'
- Toby McLuskie
Lewis Hamilton has bounced back majorly after his disqualification last weekend in Austin, with a second-place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix. Speaking to Jenson Button after the race, the Mercedes driver could hardly contain his smile when talking about the result.
"I feel fresh, we weren't having to push crazy hard out there," he told his former teammate, before adding: "[It's] a great result given we started sixth. [I'm] really proud of the team, it's been a difficult couple of weeks and [it's great] to bounce back from the end result last week."
When questioned about the tyre choice to restart the race after the red flag, Hamilton laughed and stated: "I was thinking was it [medium tyre] going to last? I did some sweet finesse!"
