Apparently, things can change. All season long, Lance Stroll has been getting back luck in Formula 1, but in Brazil, the (weather) gods were suddenly kind to the Aston Martin driver. Starting from third place, the Canadian will start Sunday's Grand Prix. Is there - finally - that windfall Stroll has been chasing for so long?

It has not been Lance Stroll's season so far: there was the hand injury, the crash in Singapore and, above all, the constant beating by teammate Fernando Alonso. This time it was Stroll who came out on top. The Canadian managed to set a fast lap at the right time before it became very wet at Interlagos.

Stroll wants to build on this qualifying

Is this the turn around? "I guess time will tell. We'll build on today and keep up this form in other places. I don't think we were lucky today. We did well to get in front of the queue and get a good track position."

Stroll continued: "The weather was coming in, so I think that was fine. But also, it was really tough. I think we did a good job of giving us an attempt at the front of the queue before the bad weather came in. It looks like a lot of guys missed their laps for whatever reason. I think we made our own luck today," said the Aston Martin driver.
