Brazil GP and FIA get order from stewards after fan misconduct
A major investigation will follow after fans trespassed the track in Brazil. The stewards make that clear in a statement after the race. The organisers in Brazil needs to get to work, but so does the FIA itself.
After the Brazilian Grand Prix, several people tried to climb the fences. The FIA takes this very seriously, and so the organisers of the Sao Paulo Grand Prix had to report to the stewards. A decision has now been made.
Brazil GP must answer it
The organisers in Sao Paulo have been told that they failed to take the proper safety measures. They must now present a report by 30 January 2024 at the latest, stating clear steps on how this will be remedied before the next Brazilian Grand Prix.
Besides the organisers, the stewards are also appealing to the FIA. The FIA must determine whether the steps taken are sufficient to address the concerns about a future race in Sao Paulo. In addition, the stewards are also submitting the incident to the FIA World Motorsport Council for further investigation. From that investigation, additional sanctions could possibly follow for the promoter.
