The strangest Formula 1 timetable in history? Las Vegas Grand Prix schedule
The Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend is next on the schedule, bringing a bizarre schedule for Formula 1. For fans in America, the Grand Prix takes place very late on SATURDAY evening. In Europe, this race will be on Sunday morning due to the time difference. The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, November 18th, at 22:00 local time. This will be at 6am on Sunday morning in the United Kingdom. It will be the 21st race in the 2023 Formula 1 season and uses the traditional weekend format.
Saturday Night Fever
It is the first Grand Prix to take place on a Saturday night since the South African Grand Prix towards the end of the 1985 season. Bizarrely, it means three of the next four races are on Saturdays because the opening of the 2024 F1 season has been altered to fit around Ramadan.
But European fans will have to remember the Las Vegas Grand Prix will actually occur on a Sunday due to the time difference. That's not the case for the 2024 Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix because the time difference is not as significant.
