Christian Horner disagrees with Lewis Hamilton that Red Bull Racing are already unbeatable for the competition. The Red Bull team boss argues that it is far too difficult at the moment to see who will come out on top in 2024.

Hamilton fears for the 2024 Formula 1 season. The Brit knows better than anyone how a dominant team can maintain an edge over the competition. Hamilton saw his own team Mercedes do it between 2014 and 2020. That is why Hamilton previously advocated a fixed start date when you can only develop the car for the following year.

Horner disagrees with Hamilton

Hamilton fears Red Bull Racing could make a bigger move than their competitors in 2024. While Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin and Ferrari are fighting hard to come back, Red Bull has long been working on the car for 2024. However, Horner disagrees with Hamilton that this is such an easy sum.

"It's always difficult to read too much into those things. I think that it's a lot of world championships that are won in the windtunnel numbers at this time of year," Horner joked, according to Motorsport.com. "We've got a great car, we've got a great basis. We need to keep evolving it, but of course, the returns are going to diminish because you're hitting the top of the curve."

Horner contradicts his chief technical officer with this. Adrian Newey is reported to have said, according to Eddie Jordan, that Red Bull will be unbeatable by the competition until 2025. With the current concept, Red Bull would already be too far ahead to be overtaken. On top of this came the Gazzetta rumour, which would reveal that Red Bull already has a new invention for the 2024 RB20.
