Sainz triumphs in Netflix Cup, trophy falls and breaks in half
The Netflix Cup is behind us. Lando Norris, Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon competed together with a pro golfer in a tournament broadcast by the streaming giant. Sainz emerged victorious, Norris had a disqualification in the first hole for that round.
Max Homa (Albon), Rickie Fowler (Norris), Tony Finau (Gasly) and Justin Thomas (Sainz) were teammates of the F1 drivers.

Norris was caught on the first hole when he deliberately moved his ball. This wasn't missed by dozens of cameras and so he was immediately penalised with a disqualification for this hole. Sainz and Thomas thus immediately took the lead and the lead was not relinquished.
The Netflix Cup was divided into two semi-finals. In the other semi-final, Albon took on Gasly. The latter played alongside Finau in place of Collin Morikawa. The 26-year-old American had dropped out due to injury. Gasly won after eight holes with his new partner from Albon.
Then, in the closest-to-pin match on the last hole, it was Thomas and Sainz in the 'final' who proved the best and received the trophy. Very sparingly, the Ferrari driver was not keen on it, as the trophy broke after the Spaniard dropped it.
