Debate | Hamilton and Verstappen together at Red Bull would be great!
Groundbreaking news arrived in Formula 1 a few days ago. Namely, Lewis Hamilton's camp had reportedly made contact with Red Bull Racing about racing together with Max Verstappen. Christian Horner, who himself revealed the news, was fairly quick to nuance the story, but did put it pretty much to bed in the top class of motorsport.
Hamilton and Verstappen together in one team?
GPblog's statement, therefore, reads as follows. "It would be great if Hamilton and Verstappen drove together at Red Bull Racing." For now, it seems quite unlikely that both drivers will race in one team, as Verstappen has a contract until the end of 2028 with Red Bull, and Hamilton has a contract until the end of 2025 with Mercedes.
Not only Horner and Hamilton were intertwined in the soap opera, but Toto Wolff, Mercedes team boss, also got involved at one point. GPblog on the Friday of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix listed how it all fits together and who exactly is accusing whom. Let your opinions be known in the statement, and don't forget to leave a comment with what you think is or is not a good idea.
