After 22 Grands Prix, the final standings of the 2023 Formula 1 season can be made up. That Max Verstappen took the title had been clear for some time. Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton are the numbers two and three, that much had been known since Las Vegas. At the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final decisions fell.
Thus, Fernando Alonso managed to end a strong season in fourth place after all. He took as many points as Charles Leclerc, but the Spaniard was on the podium more often. Carlos Sainz plunged from fourth to seventh place in the final race. All drivers who competed in Formula 1 throughout the season managed to capture at least one point.
