Verstappen meets equivalent in MotoGP during trip to Japan
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen can almost enjoy his holiday. After a gruelling season - which took him to all corners of the world - the three-time Formula 1 world champion was briefly in Japan last weekend. There, the Dutchman was a guest at the Honda Thanks Days, an annual event attended by the car brand's car and motorsport drivers.
Verstappen did a demonstration with an old Red Bull car, as did his teammate Sergio Perez. Daniel Ricciardo and hometown hero Yuki Tsunoda were in action with cars from AlphaTauri. But it was not only drivers who drive four-wheelers who were thus present, but also the rilders on bikes. MotoGP legend Marc Marquez was one of them.
Verstappen meets Marquez
The Spaniard is a six-time world champion in motorsport's premier class, having captured titles in the 125cc and 250cc classes early in his career. Verstappen and Marquez met at the circuit, where the Spaniard was given an explanation on the F1 car of his equivalent in motorsport. A great picture, with two of the best drivers their sport has ever known.
