Zephaniah's wife "was with him throughout and was by his side when he passed". "We shared him with the world, and we know many will be shocked and saddened by this news," the statement said.
Zephaniah worked with Sky Sports F1 and featured at the start of some of the races. The season saw Max Verstappen go toe-to-toe, and the writer from Birmingham formed words to build up hype, tension and excitement. His narration for one of the best Formula 1 seasons in the sport's history will always be remembered. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad moment.
