Steiner on challenger Red Bull in '24: ''I hope Charles''
- GPblog.com
After an insanely dominant year for the Red Bull team and, in particular, Max Verstappen, many people in the Formula 1 world are speaking out about who they think could challenge Verstappen next season. For instance, Guenther Steiner also speaks out on the subject in an interview with Sky Sports.
Red Bull Racing won 21 out of 22 races last season. This makes for possibly the most dominated season in Formula 1 ever. Haas team boss Guenther Steiner managed to achieve little success with his team last season.
Steiner does think there is going to be a team next season that will be able to challenge Red Bull. "I think someone will challenge Red Bull Max next year, I think we will have that one in 2024."
Hamilton retiring?
He added that he does not think Lewis Hamilton will retire in the near future. "I don't think Lewis will stop. You will never think he is 39 next year if you look at him physically. He's not ready to stop doing it, he likes what he does."
When asked who the Haas team boss thinks Verstappen will challenge next season, he comes up with an egocentric answer. "I hope Charles because that means they've [Ferrari] got a good package and we've [Haas] got a good package!"
