Vettel reveals his last conversation with Michael Schumacher

Ten years have now passed since the world heard the sad news that Michael Schumacher had suffered a serious accident while skiing. Since then, little has been known about the seven-time Formula 1 world champion's state of health. Sebastian Vettel - another icon of German motorsport - can remember the last conversation with Schumacher well.
For Vettel, Schumacher was always an idol. In a way, he followed in Schumacher's footsteps. After years of seeing Formula 1 dominated by Schumacher, at the beginning of this century, it was Vettel who was the best for years with Red Bull Racing. Asked by RTL about Schumacher, Vettel states he 'still misses him very much'.
'Schumacher could have been an inspiration'
Vettel, now retired as an F1 driver, finds it very hard to accept that Schumacher is no longer the man he once was. "Of course, I wish him all the best. He is still a subject of conversation, sometimes a little less and sometimes a little more," Vettel told the television channel.
The four-time champion can still vividly recall the last conversation Vettel ever had with Schumacher. "I told him I was going to be a father and what was in store for us." Then Vettel recounted emotionally: "I just miss my friend. He would have been so important in recent years. I would have had so many questions, and he certainly could have given so many answers or inspiration."
