Horner reveals plans for F1 season: 'Want to come back Sunday night'
From February, Formula 1 teams will once again appear together on the grid, as that is when the test days begin in Bahrain. The new Formula 1 season has as many as 24 races scheduled. There has been much discussion about this before, because for Red Bull team boss Christian Horner and everyone in the paddock, it means even more travelling. Less and less time is being spent at home.
The Red Bull team boss, who also has children, finds it difficult to balance everything. He explained to Sky Sports. "Leaving home and leaving family is always tough for anyone that travels a lot. 2023 was a tough calendar - 2024 looks even more so, with even more races. The most important time is when you are at home with the family. You leave the phone on the sideboard," Horner explained.

"I've got a young family and that time is very precious," the 50-year-old continued. "I try to make (the school-run) a bit of a thing, if I can get back on a Sunday evening. If I can take the children to school on a Monday morning, it is a bit of normality," concluded Horner.
Last year, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix was cancelled due to terrible weather conditions in the Italian province. The Chinese Grand Prix was also missed. So next season, there are once again 24 races on the calendar. The first Grand Prix takes place on Saturday, 2 March in Bahrain.
