Windsor with striking statement: 'If Mercedes don't have a good car...'

Formula 1 analyst Peter Windsor has made a striking statement about the Mercedes of Toto Wolff, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. The seven-time world champion signed a new contract last season, meaning the Brit from Stevenage will race for Mercedes' team for two more years at least.
Windsor on Hamilton
Windsor thinks Hamilton's will to race depends on very different things. He discusses a possible situation that includes Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.
"I don’t think Lewis [Hamilton] will race too much longer if the Mercedes isn’t a great car this year," Windsor said in an analysis on his YouTube channel. "So, then you might see [Charles] Leclerc going to Mercedes and if Lewis announces his retirement early enough if he does, I’m not saying he does, but if the car’s not very good, Leclerc might go there.”
Leclerc's contract
The Monegasque is still with the Italian Scuderia until the end of 2024. Perhaps some more years will be added, but that remains to be seen as Leclerc has not yet signed a new contract. One is ready for the Ferrari driver, though. The driver could make a lot of money if he signs the new contract.
