Leclerc would welcome Hamilton to Ferrari: 'Anybody would love that'
Charles Leclerc appears to be getting a new teammate at Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton is almost certainly making the switch to Ferrari. In a press conference, Leclerc was once asked about Hamilton and teammate and then the Monegasque was remarkably positive.
In 2023, rumours surrounding the possible arrival of Lewis Hamilton also played out for a long time. At the time, the Brit would eventually extend his contract at Mercedes. Because of those rumours, the transfer was naturally the talk of the day and Leclerc was also asked about the situation.
What Leclerc thinks of Hamilton as his teammate
"We are in Formula 1 and we love to be fighting against the best. That is not to say my teammate is not fast. Carlos (Sainz) is an extremely fast driver," Leclerc then revealed at the press conference.
Asked if he would welcome Hamilton within the team, Charles then said the following. "If I say 'yes', that will be the headline of every newspaper. Lewis is an incredible driver and has achieved so much in the sport, so I think anybody on the grid would love to have Lewis as a teammate"
