The British Grand Prix will remain on the F1 calendar for longer. In a post on X, George Russell and Lando Norris announce this on behalf of the organisers. There is a new 10-year contract in place.

Russell and Norris appear in a video from the X-account of the Silverstone circuit. In the caption, you can already read that the two have an important announcement. “Blimey,” opens Russell, who is present at the Silverstone circuit. The Mercedes driver calls Norris and shows the circuit. The signs indicate that Silverstone has a new deal with F1.

The new ten-year deal with F1 ensures that Silverstone remains on the F1 calendar until 2034. The British GP has been consistently held at Silverstone since 1987. The first F1 GP took place in 1950.
