Marko responds to more questions about the Horner case at Red Bull
On Thursday, Red Bull Racing will be the last team to present their car for the 2024 season. Helmut Marko will certainly be there, but will he meet team boss Christian Horner? The former cannot say for sure, but Marko informed OE24 on Wednesday before boarding the plane to England.
Christian Horner is the subject of an extensive investigation into alleged inappropriate behaviour. Last Friday, the Brit was questioned for hours over the allegations. However, a decision on whether or not he will stay on at Red Bull Racing has not yet been made. Horner will be at the launch of the RB20 on Thursday, GPblog has learned.
Marko shrouds himself in silence
"I cannot say that and nothing else at all on this subject," Marko responded when asked whether he will meet Horner at Red Bull Racing's factory. "As long as the investigation is ongoing or there is no outcome, you are not going to hear anything from me. This is an ongoing case. I hope we will soon be able to quell the unrest."
There has been extensive media coverage of the allegations against Horner for over a week. The investigation seems to completely overshadow the launch of the RB20. If an outcome is still some way off, the same may be true of the test and the first Grand Prix in Bahrain. Faced with that assumption, Marko said, "Our car is fortunately ready, we are well prepared at the start."
