Horner warns rival F1 teams: 'Have been pretty aggressive with RB20'
On Thursday night, the last car on the grid was introduced to the outside world: the RB20. Max Verstappen will be aiming for his fourth world title this year. Team boss Christian Horner spoke to GPblog and others about Red Bull's 20th car in Formula 1.
A season like 2023 is almost impossible to replicate. The Austrian racing team won 21 out of 22 races. Only in Singapore did the team fail to win. Towards the end of the season, the gap closed, but that is also because Red Bull had already shifted focus to the upcoming season.
Horner said: "You can see it's an evolution of last year's car. As our 20th version, the guys haven't been conservative. You can see they've been quite aggressive in certain areas and still pushing the boundaries conscious that our opponents are still going to be pushing very hard."
Horner on Red Bull's rivals
Since the new regulations were introduced in 2022, Red Bull have been the strongest team. The team have twice become champion in both constructors and drivers. Horner then noticed something during other teams' announcements: "We've seen a few cars being released that look similar in theme to what we launched last year. You can see all the men and women behind the scenes have been working very hard, and some of the detail on the car is absolutely exquisite."
