The team had only revealed a livery, but had not yet shown the car definitively. It has since been done so. Logan Sargeant sent his new FW46 onto the track during the shakedown in Bahrain. Wednesday to Friday are the test days in Bahrain, where Williams will obviously be present.

FW46 hits the track in Bahrain

The car has a completely new design in 2024, as team principal James Vowles' team's car has been given a darker livery. A video on X, formerly Twitter, shows Logan Sargeant driving the car out of the pit box, and onto the track with his new car. "The FW46 rolls out in Bahrain," it reads

Sargeant and Alexander Albon are, like last year, Williams' two drivers. Where for a while it was still a doubt whether Sargeant would actually race for the team this season, for Albon it was almost a certainty. He may have a contract at Williams, but he is often mentioned in various rumours.

Testing will take place between 8:00 and 12:00 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and between 13:00 and 17:00. Dutch time, that is, as it is two hours later in Bahrain. It is only since a few years that the test days can actually be watched, as before it was always behind closed doors. A week after that, the F1 season officially begins with the Bahrain Grand Prix.
